As with many couples of 2020, planning a wedding looked a bit different than usual. Covid definitely had an impact on the wedding industry, but if anything, it shined a light on what a wedding is really all about – two people celebrating their love. Hannah and Scott decided that they would have an intimate backyard wedding with plans to host a larger reception the following year. The most important thing was that they were able to celebrate with their closest family and friends.
The intimate ceremony was held in the backyard of Hannah’s family home. This family affair was absolutely perfect, if albeit a tad chilly – Hannah ended up popping on a coat mid-ceremony! The area was decorated simply and beautifully, with Halloween accents as their wedding date was October 31st. And the warm toned florals tied everything together for this fall day!
These two were such a fun couple to capture! I loved taking them into the autumn leaves for portraits and after their “I do’s”, the alter was the perfect backdrop. One of my favorite touches were Scott’s socks! Hannah and Scott actually met at a bar during a Packer’s game – so it was only fitting that Scott wore socks to commemorate the occasion!
At the end of the day, this intimate backyard wedding was just perfect for Hannah and Scott. Knowing that they were able to celebrate with their closest loved ones made their day all the more special. This year they will have the opportunity to celebrate all over again as they plan a larger reception for those who were unable to be a part of this day. Talk about a one of a kind wedding experience!
